"When you come to Dramatherapy it's like entering a different world, it's a new world...I can let my feelings out. I feel better now."

Dramatherapy is defined as the" systematic and intentional use of drama/theatre processes, products and associations to achieve the therapeutic goals of symptom relief, emotional and physical integration and personal growth".

The theoretical foundation of Dramatherapy lies in drama, theatre, psychology, anthropology, education and play. The emphasis is on growth, learning and change. Through the use of objects, movement, improvisation, storytelling, play, role-play, myth, script work and performance the latent creativity of each person is given an opportunity for expression, witnessing and understanding in a safe and supportive space.

Dramatherapists are artists and clinicians.
